About Me

"Whoever you are, I've always depended on the kindness of strangers." - Blanche Dubois

A native New Yorker, I have been living in NY for the past couple of years; a city I love dearly, but feel like I am ready to move on. But I'm not sure where to, or what my next step should be. Would love to travel a bit, learn more about what's out there, and about myself.

Having been a city boy my entire life, I am accustomed to staying in small apartments, while being cognizant of how my actions affect others in the same space.

I don't smoke, drink, or do any form of drugs. More of a nerd/geek than a partier, but enjoy the occasional clubbing/bar-hopping (despite not drinking). I really dislike the smell of cigarettes and weed, sorry :(.

FWIW, I also happen to be a gay male, so I hope to connect with people that are gay-friendly :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

(see about me section ^_^)

I also view Couchsurfing as an amazing resource to meet people from different cultures all over the world, that you would otherwise never have the chance to. Someday, when I am settled in a place of my own, I would love to be able to be that amazing host for people wanting to experience whichever place I end up in :).

I am certainly not just on here to find places to stay. I also like to build connections wherever I go, as that's one of my main motivations for traveling solo in the first place; whether it is a CS host/surfer, or just awesome folks that are interested in meeting up.

PHILOSOPHY

This site is based on trust and goodwill, so it is very important to treat others how you would like to be treated. Some of us don't have much to give when it comes to material things, but we can all pay it forward with a kind attitude :-).
