I, 56 years old male have studied arts and history. Have been teaching in history and tourism related subjects. I worked as a Tour Manager and Guide in many Asian countries. Organised trips for groups of Dutch people. Besides I taught in China, Iran and US. I like reading, writing, cycling, walking, doing yoga and playing tennis.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very eclectic concerning culture. I like different kinds of music, classical (Bach), pop (Beatles) and contemporary (Beyoncé). I love going to art and film houses, mostly for alternative or underground movies. Besides European and American film, I like films from a variety of different countries and fusion. I specially like Japanese and Iranian film. I like reading history and fiction in Dutch and English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitch-hiked to Africa in 1979 with two friends and stayed about half a year in Egypt, Sudan, Kenia and Somalia. This was a great adventure.
