Been there, done that, got the t-shirt...
My life has been a wild ride and I am now enjoyig the freedom of not having-to anything and, most importantly, not having to prove anything to anyone, or even to myself. It´s a liberating feeling!
This also means I like to do things my way and I´m comfortable with myself and by myself...
I´m pretty laid back in my free time, but when I´m working, I work hard. I sometimes let myself be awfully lazy on my days off, don´t be surprised if I´m not up for anything really... well, I´m always up for a chat ;)
And remember: never make plans in Tenerife!
(which means pretty much anything can happen, really. just don´t expect it to!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exchanging ideas, hearing your stories, learning your view on things... I feel inspired and uplifted when I meet people who follow their dreams... and with such travelers / explorers I´ll gladly sit over a glass of wine!

Interests

First came the discovery: I´m square and boring!
I don´t really do much, and that´s why I also treat couchsurfing a bit like my hobby - to meet people and hear their stories...
But I also very much believe in ¨never make plans in Tenerife¨ motto: pretty much anything can happen, regardless of being square and boring. I truly love the unexpected series of events resulting from me just bumping into someone! Sharing a bottle of wine while watching the sunset on the beach? Swimming in the ocean at midnight? Paragliding? If I am presented with such an idea a few days in advance, I´ll just say no, because I´m square and boring. But sometimes I just go with the flow... and find myself at a 3am bonfire on the beach :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

at 18: two weeks in Costa Rica. backpacking. hitchhiking.
they say I was young and silly - but that WAS the time of my life.

18 years later I survived the ultimate downsizing experiment, where I was given a one-way ticket to Tenerife... so I packed up my life into a backpack and moved across Europe, to a completely strange place, with almost no money. no regrets!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned something new from every couchsurfer that stayed with me. I'm sure we'll find things to talk about and exchange a lot of information :)

I work for a catamaran that does whale/dolphin watching excursions. I am sometimes a guide on board. So, I can tell you some stuff about the sea mammals living in the waters around Tenerife. And if you want to go on the boat and see them yourself, I have discounted tickets for amigos ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a tidy and organized person, I will not leave a mess behind me and when I'm staying with you my stuff will not be all around your place. I am very flexible with my schedule and will gladly work around yours to make the most out of our experience - since I'm the "oldschool" CSer, who believes this is not just about the couch to sleep on, but the chance to talk and learn from each other. If you offer me to join you in something you do - I'll be happy to. If you are busy with your things - I'll find things to do by myself. No fuss! :)
