To create a multi-media production about Bidu Sayao and my discovery of her.

ABOUT ME

I'm doing research to create a multi-media production about the Brazilian opera singer, Bidu Sayao.
I am retracing her steps from Rio, where she was born in 1904, to Maine, where she died in 1999.

My story:
I was a caregiver for my dad for most of my twenties and when I turned the big 3-0, I decided to give everything away and move to Europe. Leaving my dad was one of the hardest things I have ever done but he was very supportive, as was the rest of my family. I taught English in Jena, Germany for a year and in that year began research for a multi-media project which I am working on now. I moved to Duesseldorf in January and absolutely love it. This experience has led me to meet incredible people along the way who have helped me and who I call my angels. I'm on the adventure of a lifetime and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
