I love adventure and activity. I am always willing to try something new and meet new people. I really enjoy cooking, hiking, yoga, singing and playing music, cold beer, ocean swims and hammock naps. Laughing is how I get by in life.

I think couch surfing is a great way to experience a new place and culture and to make friendly connections. I'd love to host once I am in a settled place.

I am interested in seeing the world and learning about other traditions and cultures. I love to learn family recipes and cook them with people who have a special connection to the food. I am interested in culinary traditions, food systems, sustainable agriculture practices, ethnobotany, cultural preservation, and social and environmental justice. I firmly believe in the spreading of knowledge and opinions through words and artistic expression. Art as a means for social change is powerful and memorable.
A newer interest of mine is holistic health and ways of using plants, meditation and movement to heal ourselves.

I love independent movies and books where I can either learn a new skill or fall into a fascinating story. I love everything music, especially playing and writing songs. I gravitate towards folk music but I stay open to anything.
