About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live simply, to climb hills, and smile!
ABOUT ME
small and mighty; love exploring; dabble in competitive endurance athletics, anything over 100km, a couple days, or a month!
PHILOSOPHY
"Live in the Moment". I am "spirited explorer" by nature and will be the one to scope the unknown path
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Over the years, I've billeted athletes when they came for events in town. Myself, I travel alot with athletics and appreciate staying in a home with the benefits of local knowledge and opportunity to make a friend. I'm a great source for the local knowledge of the best mountain bike trails, road cycling routes, running trails, athletic groups for anywhere in Alberta.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Being an athlete, I'm grateful for all the friends I've made thru sport and have offered their couches all over the world. The best is staying in a Swiss village in the house my friends' grandfather built, so much to experience culturally!
Interests
Future endeavour to live in a self-sustaining community... a community of tiny homes in a great nature setting!

Music, Movies, and Books
Gold by Chris Cleave (just finished it Sep/2013, wow, awesome insight into the athlete!), Green for Life, Miles from Nowhere, The 4 Agreements, Three Cups of Tea, The World's Fastest Indian (after viewing it at couchsurfers Robert Allen & Ruthie's!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Competed in a 28-day adventure race across the country of New Zealand SOLO! It was most outstanding to experience life of travelling point to point transitioning thru a couple sports in a day (paddling, running, cycling) - spending the time with like-minded crazy athletes, our support, the volunteers and organizers. At that time, I wished there was one around the world! I like racing so it's abit different than touring which I've done. I love going fast!
Teach, Learn, Share
I ventured into the vegan raw food world. Currently, eat about 85% raw, have cooked grains for calories. I dropped the animals, and truly as an athlete do not find a difference in energy or performance. Where-ever I travel, I bring along my juicer (or Vita-Mix) and couch-offerers are welcome to have a fresh green juice (or smoothie) made for them! I am open to sharing info on raw food, especially for athletics. Maybe a little of my raw food spirit will rub off! I'm also into searching out local natural spring water sources... so do inform me of any you know of!
