About Me

i just want to be best friends with every single person in the entire world and also maybe meow and jump around on rooftops sometimes.

I really like hugs!

Sort of quiet sometimes but also sometimes not?? Super open to everyone and everything (but aren't we all, here?), and as a trans person with strong ties to Christianity (along with a myriad of other identities -- these are just the two that tend to come into play most often) would appreciate the same in return. I always enjoy discussing gender and religion and all sorts of things. Just keep an open mind! :) I'm learning more about the world every day as well, and would love to hear your perspectives and experiences.

I have a tendency to meow spontaneously.

I'm generally willing to try anything once/twice/several times. The only two things I really dislike are celery and coconuts, and I occasionally give exceptions for the latter.

Often a bit absent-minded. But sometimes very responsible? I'm honestly not very consistent (though I am consistently honest) -- I just like to stay authentic to where the moment takes me.

Still fairly new here, so I'll be adding to this as I come up with more, well, consistencies, I guess. :) I like to procrastinate by filling this out, so it'll probably get pretty extensive...

Feel free to add, contact, or stalk me on Facebook as well, as I'm quite often around there:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Met a bunch of people and surfed a couple of times back in 2012 and overall had a great time! Hoping to host some people eventually, though at the moment my living situation isn't quite ideal for that.

I draw a lot on everything everywhere. If you leave me alone long enough I will probably find something to draw on. People are my favorite subject, so I'll gladly draw you if you want! :D

I'm usually not much of a partier, but sometimes it can be fun. :) I'm happy to grab a few drinks if you want to. Definitely more of a chill bar person than a crazy club person.

I really like getting onto rooftops, so if you know of a rooftop that you think is pretty cool, I'd love to check it out...

I also like video games and movies and music and anime and taiko and photography and radical queer transfeminism and chocolate and languages and people and spontaneous cuddling and dinosaurs and adventuring and getting lost and run-on sentences and other things I may expand on if I ever get bored again and decide to write a whole bunch here.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: Primer, The Fall, Zombieland, Infernal Affairs, Tonari no Totoro, Brazil, The Man From Earth, Double Indemnity, Shadow of a Doubt, American Psycho, Back to the Future, and lots (lots lots) more. I like pretty much everything! If I have time I'd be glad to just sit around and watch some of your favorite films! :)

MUSIC: The Protomen, toe, Citizen Cope, Kaizers Orchestra, Elbow, sgt., ONE OK ROCK, Kyo, KINO, ACIDMAN, MONORAL, and lots more. Again, I like pretty much everything. I listen to music from a lot of different countries, but I'm probably most familiar with Japanese music. I love to discover new artists and styles and try to pick up a random CD whenever I'm in a new country. I also really love soundtracks!

BOOKS: I'm pretty into science fiction in general, though I'm still working my way through most of the classics. I'm also quite into comics and Japanese manga. I went through a long period of not reading much, but I'm starting to get back into it hard. The best book I've read recently is probably Nick Harkaway's The Gone Away World.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pinpoint a moment since it's really the small intimate adventures that really stay with me the most. Skinny dipping with friends the day we all graduated from university. Losing myself in Japan and wandering around for an entire day, only to find the most beautiful temple in the middle of nowhere. Driving ten hours overnight from Huntsville to Cape Canaveral just in time to catch my first launch viewing on base at Kennedy Space Center. Petting dogs.
