ABOUT ME

I'm pretty all-out in my endeavours and want to drink in as many experiences as possible. I'm a music freak, into art, literature, tennis, building rock walls, cooking, and too many other things to mention. More than fairly well-informed about the world around me. I like to entertain and have parties. I'm very social, have a lot of friends, and consider CS as a way to increase my friend group and build lasting relationships.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started out hosting surfers and then surfed for the first time during my 'Scando Swing' in September 2009. I have also met up with surfers who I was not hosting/being hosted by for drinks and nights out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS provides an incredible opportunity at every turn. It affords one the opportunity to share your own experiences - cultural, social, political - in a very direct and engaging way with someone who is in turn expanding your understanding and knowledge base of the world around you. This happens in the most entertaining, unexpected and fun ways. Your weltanschauung evolves and grows more comprehensive with each CS experience.

I do not view hosting a guest or staying with a host as the terminal point of the CS experience (following the requests, email exchanges, etc). I view the stay as a launching pad for a potential friendship that can carry on and deepen over the miles and years. I tend to stay in touch with those I encounter through the site and look forward to building more friendships.

I have had truly revelatory, exhilarating and wonderful experiences through CS.
