Hi there!
My name is Ori Fineberg, I'm 23 years old from Israel.
I just finished my military service a few months ago after serving in the IDF for 4.5 years as a commander in Unit 669, a special-op rescue and evacuation unit in the Air Force.
I'm currently traveling until I start studying in October 2018.
I've trekked Israel, south-north for 2 months straight on a trail called the Israel National Trail (very recommended), been to India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia and now continuing with a friend in Japan.
I'm crazy about snowboarding and plan to do a season in the States in the coming winter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A bit more than a year ago I underwent open heart surgery at the age of 22. I suffered a minor troke (or TIA) while in the military and the doctors found out that I had a 2.5 cm hole in my heart.
A couple of months later I went through surgery to close it.
Don't worry now - everything is alright!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have plenty to share with my hosts - experiences from living in Israel, serving in the army and participating in war, traveling stories, thoughts about religion, politics and psychology

I'll be happy to spend as much time with my hosts as they please, but also understand if spending time together isn't the most convenient.
