ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Amber! I'm about to move to Japan as an English teacher in Shizuoka
I am interested in seeing as much of Japan as I can while I'm there!
I am an outgoing person with a passion for the arts.
I like sketching, reading, watching movies, and telling/listening to stories, eating new foods, and exploring.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone has a place in the world, though at times we can't always find it so easily.
There is something out there for everyone, we just don't always know what it is or where it may be.
A good deed will never go unrewarded, even if no one thanks you, you should never stop caring for others!
A smile is the ultimate display of peace.
I'm an open-minded person: there's always opposition, so you should learn to see every side; you may change yourself in the process.
I try to live my life smiling and to give happiness to people around me. Though sometimes I just seem hyper...
I work with children all the time, so if I seem childish, it's because I really am. haha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am mainly interested in surfing for the time being, I am obsessed with traveling so I'm not home very often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone that I have met through CS has been very kind to me, I love meeting for meals, chatting and having tea/coffee with couchsurfers, this is a wonderful way to make worldwide connections.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music so the list is extensive.

Favorite films are mostly Studio Ghibli, anything by Mamoru Hosoda, Colorful, Harry Potter, anything Disney...and the list continues for ages. I really love musicals though~

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 sunsets on 3 different beaches in Okinawa, traveling across America, riding the world's shortest escalator (in Kawasaki), living everyday without hesitation.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Vocal technique, English language, very basic Japanese.

Learn: I would love to learn many languages, currently, I am studying Japanese and I would really love to learn more about the history and culture while I am here. :)

Share: Life stories, random facts and other knowledge, laughs.
