About Me
I'm new to couchsurfing and not too keen on writing about myself, makes me feel like a dog licking his own arse but i'll give you a wee insight. I'm your typical whiskey drinking, fun loving irishman who knows that life ain't nothing but a cosmic joke so there's no point in taking it seriously. I grew up living for the Craic (fun in Irish) and you can expect a good laugh from me or, more often, at me :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't travel to see the world, I travel to meet the people that live there. Hearing other people's stories fascinates me and of course if there's a bed up for grabs I ain't gonna say "No," but i'm mainly here to have some fun with the local people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have a wide range of music taste from Tchaikovsky to Slipknot, I can listen to damn near anything. At the centre of my music taste is Classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Queen, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd etc) and 90's rock/ pop-punk (The Offspring, Sum-41, Blink-182, Smashmouth etc.) That's not to say I don't enjoy other, heavier or more classical music. Big fan of Megadeth, The Bee Gees, Beethoven, The Sex Pistols, N.W.A, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Mozart, Eminem and so much more. My favourite band is Rise Against, a great sound and a great message, reminds me of what music used to be about.
Movies: Not so well versed on my movies, I've seen a fair few but I centre myself on comedies followed by action/thriller. My favourite actor has always been Jim Carrey, his acting isn't spectacular but that rubber face of his really does tickle my funny bone.
Books: Recently, i'm more into my self-help or educational books after reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. I'm currently reading The Defied Self by James McFarlane and The Tibetan Book Of Life And Death by Sogyal Rinpoche. In days past I read a lot of fantasy-style books, I've read the entire Harry Potter series, the Lord Of the Rings and The Sword Of Truth series. Personal favourite author is Raymond E Fiest, although his chronology is off-putting, the way he writes really bring his world to life.
