About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pa-pa-pa-party!

ABOUT ME

Hi there!

My name is Jérémy, I am 24 years old. I would describe myself as an open-minded, calm and positive person who enjoys what life has to offer!

I grew up in a lovely little city of the north-east of France called Metz. I left my hometown and move to Grenoble (in the French Alps) to go to school. And I am now living the great city that is Seattle with my girlfriend Devan.

I'm a vegetarian : I don't eat meat or fish and I try not to wear leather or other stuff made from animals.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what makes you happy. Life is way too short to waste time!

Do It Yourself! Isn’t it great to just know how to do stuff by yourself? It also brings people together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a couple of times when I was away in the US for an internship and also in Europe. This is for me the best way to travel. Now that I have my own place I can also "give back" by hosting people !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I had several CS experience as both surfer and host. Some were last minute request and other were just random encounters but they all shared something in common : they were all awesome!

Interests

I have many interests in life. If I had to pick few of them it would be: travels (duh!), sports, music (see below), food, science (my job), silly things and of course partying (does that count as an interest ? Hum ... who cares!).

I just love food, even if I don’t eat meat or fish … Yes, it’s possible! Cooking is good but eating is better! After a bad day, there is no such thing as a good meal! Also, just so you know, my skinny self can eat a lot. I said A LOT, you’ve been warned now! Hahaha.

I like sports in general, but since two years now, cycling is a big part of my life. For me it is just the best way to commute, exercise and travel. It’s also an important tool for social development; the cycling community is just as big and as awesome as the CS community. It’s so easy to meet new people while cycling, at bike kitchen … And sharing all about your favorite hobby! I also run (when my knees allow me to) because it makes me feels free and I recently started swimming. I would love to try to do triathlon one day, when will know how to swim properly …

I am also obsessed by dogs, especially Beagles. If you like them we'll probably become instant friends !

Music, Movies, and Books

I really do love music! The more I learn about it and the more live performances I see the happier am.

I feel that I have eclectic tastes. If someone asks me what is my favorite kind of music I would answer that it would be a mix of punk (for the energy), lo-fi (for the raw sound), blues and classic rock (for some awesome guitar parts), soul and funk (for the groove) and with both a female and male vocalist (because diversity is gooood!).

I honestly don’t have time to read. My free time is focused on other interest therefore I'm not a BIG reader. However, when I do I usally read magazines, comics or SHORT books (I get bored easily while reading, haha) ...

I like to watch a good movie! My favorite kind is comedy but I'm open to any kind. My all time favorites are : Garden State, Into the Wild, La Vie est Belle, La Grande Vadrouille, ... I also watch TV shows. Breaking Bad is the best TV show I have ever watched!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really don’t like this part of the profile presentation … Why look at the past when the most exciting is yet to come! One amazing thing that I really want to do is to cycle from Vancouver to San Diego along the Pacific ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some super useful stuff like : whistling with a blade of grass, french slang, river fishing, how to train your beagle or even how to be a dork.

I love to learn! My actual "learing list" would be : salsa dancing, multitasking and german.

I'd share everything that is reasonably sharable with you!
