HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just joining in but I would love to experience this beautiful community through staying on couches and in meeting locals as I travel. My house is not well suited for surfers at the moment.

兴趣

I love to spend time in the wild. I am very happy on long hikes and country camping trips as well as hugging trees, star gazing and moonlight experiences. The sun on my face makes me extremely grateful to be alive. I have some amazing hobbies that make me feel very alive including paragliding, aerials (trapeze, silk, rope) ecstatic dance (free form dance). I speak French and I'm trying to learn Spanish. I love to travel and have the powerful experience of being a world citizen. I cherish community and feel bliss when I am surrounded with loving friends playing games, dancing, laughing, sitting around a campfire or swimming in the lake. I enjoy the opportunities of city life, too, including plays, music, art and movies.

Movie favs include: It’s a Wonderful Life, Dolphin Tale, Gandhi, Waking Ned Divine, Elf, Shakespeare in Love, Death at a Funeral, The Blind Side, Up, Julie and Julia, The King’s Speech, Titanic, Avatar.

Music I enjoy: Miles Davis, Diana Krall, Dianne Reeves, Ingrid Michaelson, Kris Orlowski, Peter Mayer, Krishna Das, Iron and Wine, Oliver Mtukudzi. I LOVE sing-alongs (everything from the Beatles to Van Morrison to The Cure) to kirtan / bhajan music.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Rafting down the Colorado river in the Grand Canyon. It was profound. I was blown away.

I was literally squealing with excitement upon seeing all the wild animals in the Masi Mara in Kenya and the Nngorongoro crater in Tanzania. Stars like a million diamonds in the Kenyan night sky.

Being in the Himalayas in Nepal and have my breath taken away at the majesty of the mountains.

Summiting Mt Rainer in Washington state and looking out at the other mountains in the Cascades.

I've been on a spiritual journey for a while and love to exchange ideas on the premise I believe is true: we are all one, all connected by the same lifeforce. I'm a good organizer, fun dancer, great at board games, make delish sushi, omlettes, brownies.
