CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to innovate creative therapy and design new tools. I feel like wellbeing deserves its time as a priority in all our lives and if we are to look after our environment and our communities, we need to be looking after ourselves too.

There's alot to appreciate in this world; people, places, music, laughter, scenic beauty of the great outdoors and some good old fashion fun :)

ABOUT ME

Exploring music, discovering new places, sharing laughter and meeting new people, getting lost in creativity, usually in my camera, in nature or wandering streets in a city; these are things I deeply appreciate. I love the outdoors, usually people see me on a bicycle but I also enjoy hiking, running and I adore the water. I like to surf however I dont get in the water for it as much as I'd like to but I plan to change that. I'm a photographer/videographer but also a musician, so if I'm hanging around it is very possible there is a guitar is under my right arm, or if you have a guitar I will be very glad to sing you a song. I'm really curious about other cultures hence why I love to travel, discover the unexpected and meet wonderfully interesting people on the road. I've been very lucky in my life to have so many amazing experiences and I can honestly say most have come from travel. I'm always amazed about what you can learn while traveling, connecting with people and a place, it fascinates me. I love to cook, I especially enjoy cooking a feast with others, sharing a few glasses of wine and a good ol conversation. I have quite a vivid imagination, it keeps me entertained quite alot of the time and others too I hope :). I really enjoy talking to new people and learning about life through their experiences. I try to live an honest life, be grateful for what I have, make the most of any opportunity, have as much fun as possible and be ready for any kind of adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meet other couch surfers/travelers from different countries, share experiences and stories and learn from one another and have some fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couch surfing just the once in Bordeaux, it was a great experience, fun friendly hosts, really accommodating and lots in common. We had a really fun adventure together. I've also hosted friends of friends on a road trip around ireland. I've been living abroad or travelling quite a bit so haven't had the chance to host more but I'd like to meet more travellers when I get the chance.

Interests

Music lover in every kind of way, I write folk/blues but I love soul, rock electronica, dub, trip hop, jazz, you name it, good music speaks for itself :). Of course I'm interested in travel and being outdoors, I thoroughly enjoy photography and film, natural history film making in particular, and anything to get the creative juices flowing, experimenting with different types of media and interrogating ideas. I'm especially interested in the combination of science and art, particularly the science behind art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the highest point in the indian ocean (piton des neiges) through the night with friends under the most dazzling starry sky. We reached the summit (+3000 metres) to watch sunrise over the indian ocean. It was incredible. Also went sky diving at dawn in Byron Bay a few years ago while I back packed around Australia. Road trip across South Africa for 6 weeks with friends of mine, it was truly fantastic

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about my culture, how to cook some tasty food, how to play some music, how to dance :)

I think we can learn from one another, is that not the best exchange.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My music, my ridiculous travel stories, I seem to get myself in the most unusual circumstances, for instance, finding myself on the back of a police motorbike at 12am around Bangkok just hours after I landed in Thailand :). I can share my cooking, I love to cook, love to cook for others too :).
