ABOUT ME

My friends would say that I am fun, 'a thinker', an adventurer, pretty loyal, like to do 'off the wall' things (quote unquote from my best friend), eccentric and kind. In no particular order.
My Dad once likened me to Lisbeth Salander the character from Girl with a Dragon tattoo, but less in terms of her being a delinquent social outcast (he insisted to me, when my response was 'cheers for the vote of confidence dad!!') and more because I get mad inspiration for a certain idea or project, and then have the ability to really crunch and work through it a la mad scientist.
I like interesting stuff, like when you watch a documentary or someone tells you a factoid that really boggles the mind.
I also, like so many of my kin here in England, just really enjoy a good ol' pint down the pub, and hanging out with good company.

Interests

Exercise-wise, it's pretty much all about skating. I am thinking about complimenting that with some circus skills - we have the advantage in Bristol of having one of the best circus universities in the world, and I could really do with balancing out my super-toned legs with my pathetically weedy upper half! Maybe Chinese Poll. Watch this space!
Love books - nothing better than a good involving story. Love and hate movies in equal measure depending on the quality of the script. Have a stab at cooking (roasts and home-made pizza a favourite, though not at the same time). I also do some costumery and other crafty stuff - love anything creative ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Watching the Man burn from the top of a giant waggon art car, at Burning Man this year (my second year). Such an awesome festival.

2) Running like a bat out of hell to escape the dust cloud from an exploding volcano in Iceland. We drove for 2 hours through zero visibility of black, thick dust. But out the other side the black cloud rose into the sky like some kind of Armageddon coming. Totally out of this world!

3) Finding a sprouted shoot coming from the pip inside my grapefruit!! Put it in a pot, and it's still growing!! Sometimes the little things are nice too.
