We have travelled to quite a few countries and love meeting different people. Now that we have kids, letting them see the world around them is important to us.

Bicycled around the world for a number of years. Cyclone on a 48' ketch off the coast of Australia. Ocean kayaking with my 2 year old daughter by the reef break in Bahia, Brazil. Watching the smoke stream out of Downtown NY from the Bronx beach on 9/11. Canoeing down a tributary of the Amazon (Rio Putomayo). Camino de Compostello. Cycled karakoram pass back in '84. Ocean kayaked around the south Island of New Zealand alone in '87. Cycled up the coast of Mozambique via the beaches at low tide because the roads were still mined back in '92, met amazing people there. Played with river dolphins in the amazon. Three weeks of leaning into a stiff patagonia wind that left the tires on my bike worn down on one side. Resuscitating kids who were considered "far gone" and seeing them later being kids, and playing and walking and talking. Holding the chronic sick kids late at night when the ward is quiet. Having a great rappor with some mothers of sick kids. Getting to be a kid yourself when taking care of kids. 26,000 km return trip from Canada to Costa Rica by Motor home with my family.
