About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make everyone a cup of tea, make tea not war.

ABOUT ME

I'm a professional bum, as my profile states, living in the Manchester area and desperate to do a pilgrimage to Saint Marie de la Mer, bum around Europe and beyond, meet new people, meet as many different breeds of cat as possible and maybe even some mice...I love writing, art, theatre, history, music (folk/rock/goth/punk/experimental) and dancing, having a drink every now and then, militant yoghurt weaving, vegetarianism, Paganism and folkore. I do a terrible impersonation of Anne Widdecombe but make a damn good cup of tea :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Live every day as though it is your last, because one day, you will be right".- My Grandad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just got started, love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At the moment I've been meeting contacts through my friends, hosting people and bands etc, and really want to make my own contacts across the globe.

Music, Movies, and Books

To list them all here would take forever... I read about 3 novels a week. I also read a lot of non-fiction and am very interested in current affairs and politics. I like to drink and stamp about to rock and punk music or chill my beans to 70's folk or some lovely acoustics....I also love going to raves and flamenco. As for TV, I like Frasier, Top Gear and history and science documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've watched the entire population of Bangkok go insane, spray each other with water pistols and cover each other in flour and buckets of cold water for the New Year festival of Songkran, and I've visited the Bridge Over The River Kwai, 50 years or more after my Grandad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn traditional medicine from many different countries, other languages and life experiences. Teach me how to make the perfect crop circle and the secret to astral projection and I will teach you how to make yellow clothes dye out of onion peels, lichen and Irish moss :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, India, Thailand, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
