heyo! I'm a Hungarian girl in her mid-twenties, who will always squee when there's a cat on the street, and who eats way more chocolate than she should. sounds a bit childish? sure, i'm not going to deny that. but also, is that such a bad thing?
well, I have no idea, though sometimes it would sure be nice to be a grownup. i'm in a stage of my life where i'm trying to find out what I'm enthusiastic about, what I want to spend my limited time on. to get to know myself, while at the same time not trying at all. i hope traveling and hiking are a good start!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

for the last few months i've been workawaying in some European countries, and it shares a lovely aspect of traveling with couchsurfing: that even if i arrive to a faraway place where my head is still spinning with "how the hell did I end up here" thoughts, there's always someone already expecting me, and making me feel at home really quick. helping me explore, and giving me a solid spot to return to, or to rest for a bit while traveling through. there's also, of course, the money aspect, i don't want to pretend that it's not a nice part of it. but so many different people letting a stranger into their lives, letting them feel included for a night, a week, or even month, is such an incomparable experience altogether.
being a kind of a drifter now doesn't really let me to host people, but in a future about which I haven't got the faintest plans yet, I hope I'll be able to repay at least a bit of the kindness I receive here.

Intereses

one thing I can't get enough of is hiking. another is cats, and chocolate, but we've been through that. I love cruising around my city with a bike in the warm summer nights, but i also like regular biking. at home I like reading in a quiet corner, and just hanging out on my laptop chatting or watching too many episodes of a series. nowadays I often find myself in new places, in the company of yet unknown friends, and although i seem to like feeling awkward and lost and unsure of every move I make, I hope i'm getting better at navigating these daunting situations. i'm also very invested in procrastination, so yes even this crappy introduction is taking me ages to write

Música, películas y libros

I'm wayy too uncertain in everything to have a favourite anyhting, but I've gotten into the habit of declaring Kerouac's On the road as my favourite book (fittingly for this site). I also like reading about traveling to different planets and galaxies, and feeling sad that I'll probably never be able to do it.
I mostly listen to indie, post-rock, math-rock, some electro weirdness.

I was a temporary host to cats! they were living with me in my tiny flat in Budapest, until they were ready for a new chapter in their fluffy lives, and until someone was ready to give them a furever-home :)

I'd be happy to help with any kind of chores around the house. i'm a lousy cook, but if I get some instructions I'll happily help prepare. I always liked DIY projects too, like painting or macramé, or playing around with polymer clay, so if there's a chance for some creativity just let me know! I'd also like to share an endless number of cat videos! or, well, shut up about cats for the entirety of my stay, if that's more preferable.
