My wife has used this site a couple of times. I have never had any luck finding a host but a nice cpl in Portand let me shower there once. :-)

We love to travel abroad and spend time with the locals in order to get a true...not tourista...perspective on the country, people and local politics.

Climbing around inside the sandstone home caves in Cappadocia, Turkey.
Sitting in a London pub that was older then the USA.
Ten day sea kayaking trip in Tonga.
Taking a boat up through the inside passage from Seattle to Petersburg, AK
