ABOUT ME

Hi,
I'm new to this but have met several couch surfers who stayed with my friends and think it seems like a great idea! I like to think I am a relaxed and friendly person and try not to take myself too seriously. I study Medicine at Sheffield University and have one year left of that, but am going to Amsterdam over June/July to do a placement with a GP over there. I'm hoping I might be able to find a kind person to put me up for a few nights while I find my feet and get to know Amsterdam a bit better - I wouldn't want to impose a long stay on someone so just a few nights would be great! I've been once before but only for a few days.

I hope I am a funny person, because I certainly try!

PHILOSOPHY

It tends to change frequently, which I think is healthy way to live. Open-mindedness is one of the most important things and I tend to distrust people who think they have it all worked out. I am certainly not religious but would say I am a seriously sceptical agnostic rather than atheist.

Music - I play guitar, but not as well as - The White Stripes, Electric Six, Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire, Rodrigo and Gabriela, Vampire Weekend, Wolfmother, AC/DC!

I love Cosmos by Carl Sagan, and all of J.D Salinger's books, particularly 'Raise High the Roof Beam carpenters'. Excellent light, quasi-philosophical, interesting writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The ancient Inca buildings in Peru, the temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the nevis bunjy jump in NZ (Bloody terrifying).
