I am as happy to host people as I am to surf with people. Hosting people is the closest I can come to traveling when I'm tied down by work or studies. Ever since I first tried CS I can't go back to "normal" traveling. Meeting locals is just too fun and giving.

HOSTING
I like hosting people I can interact with. So when I host I love sharing and creating new experiences with my guests. Right now I'm especially interested in meeting people who are open to think and discuss about really any topic a bit deeper. Hopefully we can share some wisdom with each other :)

SURFING
As a surfer I can if needed be low maintenance, however I love learning more about my hosts and the local everyday life. I can be fascinated by even the smallest thing, as long as it's something new to me. I also like joining social events and meet the friends of my hosts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've Couchsurfed in the summer of 2010 on a InterRail trip with my friend Joonas, and absolutely got hooked on it. In the summer of 2011 I hosted 2 hitchhikers and got interested in hosting also. Now I am just as excited to go traveling as I am to host people. Since then I've hosted a bunch more people. Hosting really is the next best way to experience different cultures, after traveling yourself!

I've gotten to meet people who lived in the rainforest and take part of some aspects of their culture. I'm very grateful for those experiences, which has been truly life-changing :)
