ABOUT ME

We left Mexico together in 2008. One of us is pursuing a doctorate degree studying the beautiful physics of such ephemeral things as bubbles and liquid droplets. The other dedicates full time to painting and sculpting somewhat less ephemeral pieces and showing them around. (visit danielafloresmagon.com if you are curious).

In our free time we play in a group of traditional Latin-American music, take photographs, learn new art techniques, read about politics and history... We are always interested in learning to cook new (vegetarian) dishes (we do a quite decent job at it, and are always glad to cook for guests or hosts). We are curious and enjoy encounters with new people and different cultures, and we are always happy to listen to someone with a good story to tell or to tell ours' to whoever cares to listen. As latins, we are passionate about what we do and enjoy long meaningful talks served with tasty food and drinks.

PHILOSOPHY

Coming from a country like Mexico, we realize that it is purely by chance that we belong to the lucky group of people that have access to high academic education and the opportunity to travel and see a bit of the world's amazing vastness. We believe that this carries along the responsibility of actively trying to make the world a more fair place... we try to do so as much as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Relatively new to CS (2010), but been part of HC since 2005. Hosted people from Germany, U.S., Spain, Holland, Australia, were hosted in Brasil, Malaysia, Indonesia, Denmark, Hollan... great experience every time! Made several friends for life while traveling.
