Update from 2025

It’s been over 10 years since I wrote the introduction below, and my life has changed a lot since then. I’m now 35 years old, and in February 2025, I became an Australian citizen — a big achievement and a dream come true.

Along the way, I’ve made new friends — including depression, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. I used to hate them, but now I’m learning to live with them.

This year, I visited two new countries that I’ve come to love deeply: Japan and the UK. While the beautiful landscapes are starting to fade in my memory, the meaningful interactions I had with interesting people have stayed with me.

That’s why I’ve returned to Couchsurfing — to meet new people and share life stories.

my name is Sam, im a 24 years old boy, originally from Shandong but now live in Beijing. I like watching movies, reading news and listening to music. i also like travelling, but dont have many travel experiences due to money and time issue, so i would like to meet people like you and listen to your stories during your journey.
i dont smoke and dont have pets .....if you are a smoker, its ok, as long as dont smoke in the room.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My memories of the beautifual scenes I saw fades, but the interactions with interesting people remains. That was why I came back to Couchsurfing, to meet new peoole and share life storeis with.

I love stand up comedy, and I participated the Perth Fringe Festival and held my first show there, I am sure it won't be the last one.
