ABOUT ME

Hi! We are Oskar from Sweden and Fanny from Spain. We both met in Ireland in 2010 and since then we had the dream of traveling the world!
We are a fun and open minded couple that loves to spend time meeting new people and visiting new places.
We were IT professionals before we started our journey but now we define ourselves as jobless, homeless and the happiest we've ever been. (update 2015: We suddenly became teachers in China) (Update update 2015:F*ck our jobs! we are traveling again!!)
update 2016. Money sucks. We are back in China!
Update 2018: Still in China, we grew our little family with a baby doggy

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can share plenty of stories and experiences we have lived, we can passionately talk about our travels, cook you some delicious food or just invite you to have some beers under the stars!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted a lovely couple when we were living in Ireland, we had such fun that they returned again at the end of their travels and we have kept in touch ever since. We hosted a fun German guy living in China. We surfed in India with several people and enjoyed some true Indian culture and such great welcoming and warmth. We also did some couchsurfing in Indonesia with lovely people. We loved all the experiences and we cannot wait to surf more!

Interests

Traveling is our great passion but food comes next. We also enjoy listening and playing music, snowboarding, long boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, photography, macrame. We love to spend time in nature, trekking and searching for paradise beaches. We truly love animals, either petting them all day long or looking for them in the wild.

Music, Movies, and Books

We enjoy all kinds of music but we are more fond in rock, indie and electro. Regarding movies, Oskar likes to watch any movie he can get but Fanny likes more nature and travel documentaries. Regarding books Oskar likes more political satire or anything from Hunter Thompson and Fanny is addicted to adventures and medieval times love stories, she loves Ken Follet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Walked one hour through a snowstorm to go to a moose farm got to feed and pet them, in Sweden

-Feed a fruit bat with papaya in Bali, Indonesia

-Get our Padi open water license in the Andaman Islands, India.

-Get dressed in Indian traditional clothing, in India, of course

-Pet and play with tiger cubs in Thailand

-Ride on elephants in Thailand

-Jungle trekking in Thailand, Malaysia and Andaman islands, India

-Hold hands with a gibbon in Sri Lanka ( And loose all the pictures after :'()

-Be the only guests for one week in a tiny island south Sumatra, Indonesia (Just because the road was a bumpy 4 hours ride)

-Tried a lot of weird foods like durian, scorpions, sea ears and duck head (both) and maggots and butterfly larvae (only Oskar, yikes)

-Travel for over two years in beautiful Asia and live in China few months being English teachers, weird but true!

-Being in North Korean waters without visa (only crossed a bit with the boat)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach languages: Swedish, Spanish, English, Italian, Catalan
Our native cultures (Swedish and Spanish)
We are great cookers and we can make you a good Spanish omelet or Swedish meatballs. We are learning to play the guitar but we can teach you a bit what we already know.
We can share with you our favourite travel destinations and you can share yours with us!
