About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering and collecting a few more of these awesome colours of life as I have been able to see yesterday.

ABOUT ME

I finished high school in June/2014 and started my gap year in Canada in December 2014. It is kind of a work and travel trip, even though so far I'll keep my travels going as long as my budget allows it!
Basically I want to experience myself through the incredible diversity of the world in- and outside of my usual environment.
Against my plans to stay in Canada I decided to travel down the American west coast for spontaneous reasons when I met a bunch of awesome guys from the US.
In the last month (January 2nd - February 6th) when I traveled the US I developed a deep trust in the people being good, warm, helpful and open.
For me traveling (especially since I've got a tent!) makes me feel at home on earth.
In that sense, I also discovered hitch hiking as my most loved mean of transportation since the focus is not on getting from A to B but on this girl or boy that picks you up. It's about relation, helping each other and sharing - even if it's only some time on the road. That's traveling for me. :)
In that spirit I am preparing to continue my way south in Mexico in mid February at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The next Year I am only going to participate as a surfer, except the case (that should not be excluded!) I find a long-time-accomodation in Canada where I could of course offer at least a couch... or a floor!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have crashed quite a couple of couches on my trip down the US - West Coast so far and have had only great, inspiring and enriching experiences! I have to admit that I mostly knew the folks before because we might have stayed at a hostel (simply great places!) together or shared the trip for a couple of days.
Anyways, I love couches! (In case you can only offer a guestroom, I'm also fine with this...)

Interests

Talking about you and me and the world, Biking, Dancing, Swimming, Reading, Writing, Music, Wind-Surfing, (Hitch-) Hiking and Camping. So conclusively I'm open for nearly every kind of adventure - let's just try!

I am thankful for every tip for literatur, dealing with topics of consciousness, traveling, advanture or social siences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fell in love a couple of times.

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course there is this old and nearly forgotten language called German that I am able to speak and to teach some basics.
I have a special interest in eastern religions (such as buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, etc.) at the moment and would be glad about a talk on their philosophies or thankful for a little introduction in those religions that are not well known to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I wouldn't state that I am an extraordinary cook but me and others get regularly satisfied by the meals I cook and you would have one thing less to care about at busy days ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Guatemala, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
