Overview
About Me
I am a 41 year old traveling enthusiast who loves meeting new people and experiencing multi-cultural ways of life. I am easy-going, I like hanging out with friends in uncomplicated settings. I love the contact with nature and I like children and animals too. I am not much of a party animal but if the mood overtakes me and the music is good you won't see me sitting for a few hours...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It started while I was living in Vietnam. A friend of mine used to host people in her flat and through her I met loads of great people. I thought Couchsurfing was a fabulous idea. Then she moved away and I moved into a bigger place. So I started hosting people myself and made fabulous friends. Now that I am living in France and in a very small place again, I can't host, but I do travel around a lot and I am looking forward to meeting more people from loads of different countries who can show me their way of life, their culture and share their wisdom with me.
Interests
Yoga, swimming, running, reading, listening to music, drawing (albeit badly) cooking simple wholesome foods. And most of all, having a good time doing all the above.

Music, Movies, and Books
Wide range of music: from English rock/pop ( Keane, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Kings of Leon, Red Hots... ) to reggae and World music via French classics (Telephone, Trust, Cabrel, Goldman...) and a bit of jazz and classical thrown in, oh and dash of heavy metal (ACDC, Maiden...)
I like movies but I don't watch TV and only occasionally remember that cinemas are great...my favorite movie is "Amelie", I also liked "Angel A" and "Run, Lola run", I guess I like European films far more than American ones. Not keen on too much shoot-shoot-bang-bang.
Books, well. Before being a teacher in Vietnam I was a librarian in the UK for 8 years. It would be faster to tell you about the books I don't like, rather than the ones I like. If I had to pick one, though, it would probably be one of Paolo Coelho's titles. I also loved "Balthasar's Odyssey" by Amin Maalouf.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far, the most amazing thing that I've achieved is to realize my childhood dream of becoming an English teacher and living in different countries. That' s the one thing that still amazes me and I have to pinch myself on a regular basis to check that it is real...
Teach, Learn, Share
