Living it up in Helsinki. In April 2019 I will move to my spouse´s recidence and start living the daily life together. Now that´s what call a current mission!

ABOUT ME

In a general level read the Wikipedia entry for human being. That's me. And then the less weird and little bit more detailed info: social life inspires my solo life and the solo life charges my batteries to enjoy the social life. I think this kind of setting works for me. Traveling is the social dimension at its highest peak, which surely inspires me for long.

If you read through my references you might notice, that many of them have been written in plural, cos formerly i have been couchsurfing quite a lot with my ex-wife. Nowadays I travel with my girlfriend Maria. Hence there is a picture of us in my photo collection. Well, there is also a pic of my mom´s dog for some reason. In a nutshell they both are dorrible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think I am a quite experienced in this scene. I got known with this wonderful part of social world in Hospitality Club in 2012. Few years ago I surfed pretty much, participated to local events and a bit of hosting as well. I would like to host people more, but during the past years the surroundings where I have lived have been quite difficult for hosting. I am positive about the hosting in the future though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Gone through the North America in three and half months, a great deal of the journey I slept on the couches of locals. The whole experience was beyond the greatest expectations and after the trip it is just impossible to think about traveling without couchsurfing community. Well, I also have some experiences of couchsurfing in Europe and they have been also just sheer success.

My personal interests vary depending on the current season. In the winter... well, winter stuff. In the summer it is easier to enjoy stuff like soccer, beach volley, jogging, trekking, fishing, gathering mushrooms and berries (mainly for the self-made wine) and hanging around our summer cabin or in my delightful van. Other interest to mention are arts (my self-made and exhibitions, museums etc.), music events, pub quizzes, overconsuming news. And what else... traveling! How surprising thing in this scene:)

I consume almost excessively much music. There is something weird in getting older; pop music and classical music have started to sound fancy. My younger self in the past would consider a fool and lame old geezer.

Well of course time and stories. That is why this community is so dear to me.

Also usually I carry some finnish salmiakki (salt licorice candy) to provide some weird greetings from the north. I think almost every other finnish person does that also. So nothing that special.
