About Me

I travel the world. Years on the road have left their indelible mark on my soul. I always prefer a face to face conversation over writing text but here are a few hints about who I am....

I am a traveler, dancer, artist, engineer and accidental mystic (I didn't seek it out, it found me). My curiosity is insatiable and so I travel the world. I have traveled the length of the Americas and across Europe by motorcycle. For the moment I travel with just a backpack, meeting people, learning about new cultures and following random whims and invitations that come my way. This has led me in some interesting and unexpected directions such as dancing (mostly tango, also salsa) and spiritual transformation.

I am very easy going and open minded. I love travel, learning about different points of view, exploring new cultures and meeting new people. I am happy living a very simple and minimal lifestyle as I travel the world as I have found more delight and more wealth in the people I meet than I ever did in the plentiful money I earned before I began to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people and hearing their stories and experiences, learning about the local culture. I have a special fondness for people with an interest in travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the first two years of my trip I rode my motorcycle from Alaska to Argentina. Along the way I delighted in endless forests filled with animals, stood in awe at the majesty of mountains, relaxed on a beach at the ocean for the first time in my life, tried to learn to surf (and failed spectacularly), faced the near certainty of my own death, fell in love with countries I barely knew existed, discovered I love tango dancing after decades of being certain I hate to dance, and had more incredible people touch my life than I can begin to count!

It was an amazing adventure....and only the beginning of my travels, a mere hint of the adventures yet to come!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always happy to teach tango dancing or to help someone get started traveling the world. I can share how to get started with meditation. I always love sharing a long conversation over a tasty drink, especially yerba mate.

I am interested in learning more about massage and salsa dancing. I want to learn to dance zouk, bachata and chacarera!
