About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To discover Turkey!
ABOUT ME
I was born in St. Petersburg, but moved with my family to Canada when I was 5. I am 20 now and finishing my studies at Carleton University (Ottawa) in Public Affairs (specializing in international studies). I was bitten by a squirrel when I was younger, and I still have a small scar on my left hand.
I am currently studying for a semester abroad in Istanbul's Koc Univeristy.
I want to discover new things always through travelling and talking with other people. I love adventure and camping, and am always up for trying new things (especially food!).
PHILOSOPHY
People everywhere are good (amazing, wonderful, surprising), as so is life. There is so much good to do, to be, to discover, that a whole lifetime can be spent on learning how to live. Discover! Learn! Live! Be happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have just started, but when I get back to Canada and my home I will set up my own couch for people to crash on. I want to always re-affirm my belief that people are good everywhere around the world, and help spread that belief around the world! :D
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very little internationally, but have surfed on enough friends' couches back home to know the etiquette. One of the best times was in Kingston, visiting my friend Mitchell, when we had a great late discussion at a pub called Filthy McNasty's (which was neither filthy nor nasty, a very nice place!).
Interests
Exploring all the nooks and cranies of the world!
Outdoor sports (any and all).
Parks! Mountains! Lakes!
Camping.
Cooking new food.
Good conversations over a beer (or two, or three). Good conversations in general. :D
Ultimate frisbee (I play for my univeristy back in Canada)!
Trying to play guitar.
