About Me

I’m new to Austin, but love exploring this neat place. There IS a password to request a night, search around my profile to find it. I'm sure lots of people on here say they're a "people person," but..if you're looking for a friend or someone who won't talk your ear off because he's in tune with others and picking up on social cues (haha), I'm That guy. I definitely delight in and appreciate laughter. Born in CA, but have lived in many places.Come from a sizable family (7 siblings) and love it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people and learning from others. This is a must for me because I know that I have so much to learn and there are so many great people that I have not yet met! Another reason would be traveling..because I love that so much, and have an open mind, I'm ready for anything and can't wait to meet you.

Interests

I'm a Believer and Follower of Christ, but definitely will not force that on you one bit.
Obsessed with music, going to live shows, eating, meeting people, and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music..capital /M/. I love it, all of it, as long as it's not ONLY screaming.. SO, any other genre (including folk, EDM, reggaeton, country, pop (old/new), even some rap ), I'm all about it.
Movies? Old funny or thriller ones, new ones..doesn't matter. Christopher Nolan is my favorite new director/writer, and Alfred Hitchcock is my favorite old movie director.
Books...enjoy reading a great deal..classics especially (Dickens, Hemingway, HG Wells, Arthur C. Doyle, CS Lewis, Tolkien, Victor Hugo, etc.), but enjoy thrilling/suspense novels too (Robert Lundlum, Dean Koontz), a little nonfiction too (Bonhoeffer).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed a night at The Ark (Hotel in Kenya at a preserve/water hole)

Teach, Learn, Share

I strongly believe in positivity and the ol' "good vibes" message. I want to pass on my open mind, servant heart, and love to others. In addition, I strive to keep chivalry alive..does that make me old fashioned? Maybe..but, I think it's the Right way to live.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences and love for learning more.. However, I can share BOTH my ears. Cannot wait to hear about their past if they'd like to share. I'm ready to listen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Dominican Republic, England, Iceland, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Scotland, South Africa, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Democratic Republic of Congo, France, United States
