About Me

Some people got hopes and dreams, some people got ways and means, I am in between,
Born in Morocco in 1993, but my heart (and playlist) are permanently stuck in the '80s. I’m an outgoing adventurer with a love for all things old school—think neon vibes, cassette tapes, and stories that sound like they came from a vintage movie montage.

I hold a PhD in Plant Biotechnology, but don't worry—I won’t bore you with plant DNA talk. My day job has nothing to do with it anyway (thank you, capitalism!). Speaking of which, I’m a proud environmentalist and responsible consumer navigating the modern world while secretly rooting for nature to win. 🌱

I’ve been on Couchsurfing for a long time, but in true scatterbrained traveler fashion, I ended up with multiple accounts. Turns out Couchsurfing itself had to remind me to delete the other one and stick to this one—silly me! 😅 But hey, at least it proves I’ve been around for a while!

Traveling is my passion, and I’ve collected a ridiculous amount of stories, some of which might even be true. If you’re up for good laughs, random fun facts, and maybe a little '80s trivia, I’m your person. Let’s make some unforgettable memories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before the world turned upside down with Corona, I had some of the best times of my life on Couchsurfing. Back then, I was just a student with a small space but a big heart, hosting travelers from all over the world. I loved the connections, the stories, and the shared moments of laughter that made my little corner of the world feel a whole lot bigger.

It was during those days that I fell in love—not just with Couchsurfing itself, but with the idea of exchanging cultures, kindness, and couches (or sometimes just floor space). Hosting taught me that you don’t need a lot to give a lot.

Now that I’m in a position to travel, I’m excited to experience the other side of Couchsurfing—being the guest. I’m here to meet amazing people, share stories, and create memories that are just as unforgettable as the ones I shared while hosting. Let’s keep the adventure going!

Interests

I have a soft spot for all things old school, but I’m pretty flexible when it comes to life and adventure. Whether it’s flipping through vinyl records or exploring new tech, I enjoy a mix of nostalgia and the present moment.

The ocean is my happy place—I love anything that involves the sea, from surfing and snorkeling to just floating around and pretending I’m a mermaid. If there's water, I'm in! 🌊

Food is another passion of mine—I love cooking, experimenting with flavors, and, of course, tasting new dishes from every corner of the world. Pair that with a good cup of coffee (which is basically my fuel for life), and I’m all set. ☕

On the geekier side, I have a weird and wonderful obsession with studying soil fungi. What started as part of my academic life somehow turned into a hobby, and now I find myself randomly geeking out over mushrooms and microbes.

Most of all, I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and experiencing different perspectives. Whether it’s over a meal, a surf session, or just a deep conversation about life, I’m always up for connecting with interesting souls.

Book: crime and punishment

Movies: a lot

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve had my fair share of adventures—climbed the highest mountain in North Africa, hitchhiked across Morocco, and explored incredible places. But honestly? I don’t think I’ve done something truly amazing yet. The way I see it, the best stories are still waiting to happen!

Teach, Learn, Share

🔹 Teach: I can help you with Arabic, French, and English—whether it's casual conversation, useful phrases, or just some fun slang. I can also introduce you to some delicious Moroccan cuisine (yes, I can show you how to make the perfect tagine!). Oh, and if you’re into card games, I’ve got a few fun ones to teach you!

🔹 Learn: I love learning new skills, especially anything related to different cultures, cooking styles, or fun games. If you have a cool talent or a random fact to share, I’m all ears!

🔹 Share: Stories, laughter, travel experiences, and good food! I’m always happy to share a meal, a deep conversation, or just a fun moment over coffee.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe that the best part of traveling is the connections we make along the way! With my hosts, I can share:

🍲 Food & Cooking – I’d love to cook some Moroccan dishes for you or share a meal together. If you’re curious about spices, tagines, or traditional recipes, I’ve got you covered!

🃏 Games & Fun – I can teach you some cool card games, and if you have your own favorites, I’d love to learn them too!

🗣 Languages & Stories – Whether it’s practicing Arabic, French, or English, I’m happy to help. I also have plenty of travel stories (some funny, some weird) that I’d love to exchange over coffee!

🌍 Cultural Exchange – I enjoy deep conversations about different cultures, sustainability, and travel experiences. We can share ideas, perspectives, and maybe even plan a spontaneous adventure!

☕ Coffee & Good Vibes – Coffee is essential for me, so if you’re a coffee lover too, we can share some great brews and chat about life.

Most importantly, I bring a positive and easygoing attitude—I’m here to make the experience fun and enjoyable for both of us!
