Overview
About Me
I am a queer/trans parent, therapist, musician, and book dragon. My pronouns are they/them.
In the past, I have worked as a full-spectrum doula (focused on abortion and postpartum care), years as a Spanish<>English interpreter in community and medical settings, as a co-manager and Volunteer Coordinator at a small community-owned and operated food co-op in Milwaukee, and tended bar at my family's meadery (Bos Meadery, out of Madison).
I've been leading Milwaukee's Queer Ceasefire Choir, an anti-zionist, pro-trans song circle, since December 2023.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had so many delightful and kind experiences surfing in the US' midwest, southwest, and northwest, and in Peru, Chile, and Argentina. I so appreciate the kindness of the folks who have opened their homes to me with trust and hospitality.
When I have been able to host travelers, I am always grateful for the chance to meet someone on a vacation, quest, work trip, etc, and share a little bit of myself and my neighborhood with them.
Interests
Food, music, languages, the outdoors, biking.
I'm interested in and committed to social justice, particularly related to immigrant and racial justice in the United States and the myriad of connected issues. I spent all of 2013 and May-July 2014 in Valparaíso, Chile.

Meeting new people and becoming familiar with new places is one of my favorite things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Giving birth to my baby, Artemis Moon, in the water at home, just weeks before lockdown. They are now 5 and such a special person!!
-Occupying the capitol building in my city, Madison, during 2011 to protest our corrupt governor's agenda was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Seeing that many people (many thousands) come together, despite the cold and snow, to stand up for workers' rights and dignity was truly inspiring.
-Hiking up a mountain near Obertraün, Austria, and seeing a glacier!
-Seeing my mom give birth to my little sister, Maya, in our home, when I was 7 years old. (I cut the chord).
