ABOUT ME

I'm traveling around Europe at the moment. After numerous hostel experiences I could basically write the script for every banal conversation possible with other travellers you meet, talk to for 5 minutes and never see again. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet real people. In New Zealand (home) I have studied philosophy and English (to post-grad level) and will continue with English Lit when I return home.

PHILOSOPHY

Be friendly to other people and the world will be a better place. (Can also be stated in the negative, 'Don't be a dick')

I have pretty broad musique tastes, like most people, but here goes: The Knife, Kaiser Chiefs, Late of the Pier, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Wolf Parade, Beethoven, Stockhausen, NWA, Vampire Weekend, Girltalk, Santogold, MGMT, Patti Smith, Kraftwerk, AIR.
Books: far far too many to list here.
Movies: anti-hollywood especially European, e.g. Haneke, Fassbinder, also Alfonso Cuarón, Zizek, Adam Curtis docus.
