Hi, my name is Owen. I am currently studying mechanical engineering at RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. I grew up in the United States and decided to leave after high school to go study in Germany. So far, that's been the best decision of my life. I love the friends I have made, both German and international. I have had the opportunity to interact with so many different cultures and experience things in life that I couldn't have imagined a few years ago. My main hobbies are singing in choir, playing ultimate frisbee, and, of course, traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the most incredible parts about moving to Aachen has been the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. These connections and shared experiences have been one of my favorite parts of moving abroad. I love to travel and visit new places, but I feel like I often miss out on a chance to really connect with fellow travelers or locals just looking to share the places they love. I am hoping that Couchsurfing will allow me to meet new people and more fully experience the culture of different places I get the chance to visit. In the future, when I move into a place of my own, I hope I'll be able to host people from all over the world and share with them some of the amazing and unique places where I live.
