Hi,
I'm a final year student in biology living in Manchester. I grew up in the York in the UK before coming to
Manchester, and have always enjoyed travelling around places and getting involved in other cultures and learning from them. I like to relax by having a beer, and as well as enjoying learning about the cultures and history of other places of course living in Manchester I also enjoy going out and seeing some of the nightlife that cities in particular have to offer. As well as that of course I love to go for walks or bike rides and see some natural beauty if where i'm visiting has that to offer. I wouldn't say that there is much that I don;t enjoy doing or giving a try and i'm always open to new experiences. I can speak French to a pretty good standard but as i'm a little out of practice I need to get a little more experience of speaking it before i feel i could put fluent on here. !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couchsurfing this year as one of my housemates has had an account for years, so we have been hosting people through his account in our shared student house all year, and i've really enjoyed meeting people from all over the world whilst doing it, and seeing as I'm now doing some travelling of my own thought it would be a good opportunity to meet some new people in different places and see a side to places that I wouldn't see if I was just a tourist staying in a hotel. As well as to host people through this account in my next house (next year) when i won't be living with the housemate whose account we were using for this year.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and can play guitar fairly well and sometimes record songs in my bedroom. My favourite genres if i had to pick would be Jazz and dance music, by which i mean house and techno. But really i listen to all types of music and don't like to just listen to one type. I'm not as well versed in film as i'd like to be or maybe should be but always good are films by Scorsese, Kubrick etc, all the classics, my favourite film is one flew over the cuckoos nest which is about the only favourite thing that i can choose. Aside from films I really enjoy watching documentaries which is probably my favourite genre of TV programme. I love authors like Camus (Translated as unfortunately my French is not good enough to read a whole book yet), Graham Green, William Golding, I also like non fiction writing like Hunter S Thompson, and George Orwell's reportage style books.
