I am fun-loving, caring, energetic, creative gal from Canada that is looking to expand my horizons a bit. I have a love for travelling, animals, children, new cultures and experiences. I am a volunteer doula and spend a fair chunk of my time supporting teen moms and dads before, during and after labour.

I couchsurfed in NYC and couldn't say enough good things about it!

Interests

I like to experiment with vegan and vegetarian treats, walk my dog Sophie in the beautiful river valley, and plug away at becoming a ukulele virtuoso. I also love to grow my own food and generally engaging in interesting conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm always halfway through a series of books, usually reference material of some sort. Right now I'm reading a book on companion planting and a book called Possum Living: How to Live Well Without a Job and With Almost No Money.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helping babies get born is a pretty amazing experience. Watching young parents struggle with adversity and make really amazing positive strides in their own lives and those of their children inspires me to give this life everything I've got.
