About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make my days be as vivid as my dreams. Girl you'll move mountains!
ABOUT ME
I probably overagonize over words more than I should. Some critical expectation that my every utterance should be of a profound nature. Or just frustration over not fishing/hooking English terms quickly enough to capture the excitement or idea I experience in a moment. Ah but then, on good days...I get over myself.
Anywhooo..so I go by my Granny-given (nottt stripper) name, HONEY!! Some keen foresight she must have had because it is quite fitting. I'm actually 'sweeter' than I care to be at times.?. At this phase in life, definitely hearing the cry of the wild woman from my core more and more. So appropriately adding more and more spice to my pouch daily. I'd say I have a pretty healthy sense of wonder. I'm getting younger and younger, can't convince me otherwise. Beverly Button. Usually pretty reserved, but wide-eyed and full of questions when I'm in a new space. Somewhat a voyeur, but I move freely when the tune is right. I absolutely love partaking of fine beverages, Nat Shermans too. Love hearing French and Portuguese spoken and the wisdom that comes out of a 7-yr old's mouth. Live for the rare occasions when I can lick the mix bowl from my momma's homemade red velvet cake. Enjoy sprinkling rose water all about me, walking barefoot, beautifying spaces...and of course time traveling. YAH!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I've been hosting for as long as I've had the space to do so, long before this forum..a familiar practice. Grew up on a farm where all of my relatives lived within walking distance. There'd always be visitors floating in and out from 'town' or out of town. If not at our own home, family would all gather at whomever's home on the lane that had a visitor. Fondest memories...just having a bunch of folks around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing is a pearl..pure...truly cherish it. Fave experience thus far has been the Alubuquerque Couch Crash 2012...
Interests
Im something of an obsessive thrifter. There must be a considerable amount of time allotted for thrifting wherever I go. It guides me on putting my finger on the pulse of a place, throughout its ages. And of course the thrill of treasure hunting. Of preservation. Sometimes just the hunt itself. Im noticing more and more that I crave adventure and will subconsciously create adventure if Im deprived. Like the time Id gone to the Whole Foods at home in Memphis to pick up some antique hydrangeas for my altar, (ancestors LOVE them). And they were all out so I tried Kroger, but the flowers there weren't as perky as I liked. So I decided that I would just go to a park somewhere and pick some hydrangeas. But then it turned into me having to find the MOST BEAUTIFUL HYDRANGEAS OF THEM ALL!! So I ended up driving around the city for almost three hours...until my heart was content. Yea, this is why I generally travel alone. Lest I meet other lonely hunters along the way...
