ABOUT ME

I am 22 years old, graduated university last year and decided to travel for 6 months around Australia with the intention of stopping at any beach/town/termite hill I fancied the look of.

I am a music producer and vocalist by trade and am currently collecting various samples of things that spark an interest to me so that they can be incorporated in my next project(s) once I return to sunny ol' England. Music has been my passion since the tender age of about 12 and due to a touch of luck and inspiration I was fortunate to have realised it by 15 and chose my higher education accordingly. I know people don't need a degree to make music but I'm a cautious guy so even if I'm not producing the next Arctic Monkeys album I'll have something to fall back on.. See?

Anyway, I'm a pretty stand up guy that really needs a few nice people to stand up and say.. "Yes mate, come and kip on my sofa if ya like" because as they say what goes around, comes around and I'll go around the rest of Australia having a much better time if your email comes around. PHILOSOPHY

I personally believe that life is for living to the fullest and no matter how many hurdles you may stumble on, never give up! Pursue what you think is important in life. I am a strong believer in equality and in treating others as you would like to be treated yourself. This is why I often feel I have a good rapport with people and enjoy the responsibility of being a good friend.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like I said before, what goes around will surely come around and I would be happy to aid any CS2 member in order to push forward the community of the couch surfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I am not the most experienced traveller I have only stayed at two other couch surfers houses and they are actually a part of this community aswell. I can say is that they have helped me out so much by letting me stay during my time in Melbourne that I have told them my home is their home, so they're coming to stay in June! Great people!

Interests

I am a fan of a lot of sports, have a wide interest in music - it tends to help when you make the stuff - and love to read and play guitar in my spare time when I'm not working or socialising with friends. I'm a HUGE film fanatic, love sitting down to a good flick and filling my face with popcorn and other goodies. I also write a lot of poetry and lyrics for songs which I then perform either on stage (like the 'Notting Hill Arts Club' in London) or at home in the studio.

Music, Movies, and Books

Shawshank redemption is my favourite film of all time closely followed by Gladiator and The Usual Suspects. I love the creative arts so I could fill this page up with ease about films that I adore but I'll keep it simple for your sake. I am currently listening to a lot of Hard-Fi (UK band), Nirvana (again) and Silverchair (a recent find) but I love everything from Led Zepplin to Noisia (UK drum & bass) so I keep a very open mind when it comes to music. My favourite books are James Frey's A Million Little Pieces and My Friend Leonard. I love Michael Crichton books and am currently enjoying Ben Elton novels as they are extremely funny and witty.

Teach, Learn, Share

I offer tuition in the ways of creative writing whether it be in music production, composition or lyrical expression. I feel I have experienced enough to be able to help anyone who sees themselves as a budding artist but lacks the confidence in achieving their goal. Music is a mixture of talent and confidence, as one could be the most talented musician in the world but if he/she lacks the confidence to do perform in front of people they could well be shunned to the back of the line merely due to the fact that no-one will ever hear them. I love entertaining, therefore if I can learn anything off of the next person then I am a pupil of their life. I love to learn off of my friends and others around me, from past experiences to present.
