PHILOSOPHY

A good world is possible, tho will take a commitment to do hard work (especially on the self), and true progress must be both sustainable and encouraging creativity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a traveler, hopping among communities (usually in mutually great ways :) ) and weaving a web of connections on the west coast (mostly oregon so far). Although I prefer to be among houses where there is a strong community culture (shared food, lots of figuring it out together, people caring for each other) I also enjoy spending time with individuals and smaller groups while exploring the city I'm in.

Interests

I'm very much about communities in all ways, including the physical infrastructures, communication methods/systems, emotional/spiritual development, and so much more. To me community is the way to the most sustainable society.

Also into magic and mysticism. I read tarot, and use runes and other archetypes to make better sense of the world and my place in it.

Systems. It's super nerd level, but I like to think about social and organizational systems a lot, as well as the infrastructure, transportation, resource, education, and other systems which support our communities.

Otherwise: european board games, adventure, making games, making things, exploring new places, hookah with friends, good beer/wine, construction/carpentry, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to use books and movies to expand my mind (psychological thrillers especially), now I mostly use them to either study (mysticism ad spirituality usually) or use as a flow-catalyst for whatever i'm mentally/emotionally processing

For some reason music has not been a significant part of my life, tho i do love to dance when something really groovy finds me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Organized a genderqueer gathering (june '18, weeklong, 50 ppl, team of organizers in a loose consensus model). Despite lots of hard feels coming out (it was a healing oriented gathering) there was so many beautiful things that came out it, and I'm mega excited to see where the threads weave from here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Depending on where I'm at with emotional space I may be excited to share tarot towards talking about where one is on one's life path and what wisdoms or reframes I might be able to share to catalyze a new growth. Often this also comes with some amount of help with processing, which I'm often down for (especially if food is available to fuel it)
