About Me
15 years of CS experience!
Oh man, it's been a pleasure to get to know and meet beautiful surfers from all around the world. I hope I can make another 15 and keep showing you guys the beauty of Istanbul and a little bit of my world :)
I've hosted over 100 people and my experiences are very much positive. Some of these people are lifetime friends now. I didn't only share my flat with you guys but my life; thoughts, feelings, family and friends and hugs. You were all stranger once and a message has changed everything. Thank you for sending that, I loved it! We smiled and cared about each other even for a short time, that was amazing!
I run a travel agency and my job has contributed to my knowledge of different countries and regions while teaching me how to be a good host and help people explore our city.
I feed you lots of food :) How about we go on a foodie tour in my neighborhood? One of the reasons I love hosting people is that I can mesmerize them with the richness of Turkish cuisine. Putting on a couple kgs guaranteed :) You might ask me if we could go running by Bosphorus after too much food though. I love working out, cycling and running too. I have run a marathon with one of my CS guests before. Also, always up for a yoga session.
Come up with a crazy party idea and I'm in. I also love cats and take care of them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that CS is the perfect way to meet new people and hear their travel experiences and stories. I love the idea of getting to know all these people, helping and having them at your place, sharing many things even for a short time. What's more amazing is you can visit these people in their countries later and that's one of the super things within the community. I have already started welcoming my guests for the 2nd time but too bad I haven’t been able to visit all of them.
I just like you guys to experience Istanbul in the best possible way and will be happy to be a small part of it.
Please do not hesitate to ask anything about your trip to Istanbul even if you don't stay at my place.
I have really enjoyed every CS experience and still get excited when I get requests from people. I'm mostly able to do the incoming part now but look forward to seeing previous surfers as my potential hosts in my future trips.
Oh, here is an unforgettable experience that I had with my dear guests. When the protests began in Istanbul last year (2013), my house was not far from the center and my guests felt like joining the protests with me. That was clearly more than an experience for everyone, seeing them contributing your cause with pride. It meant more especially with people you have just met on CS.
