Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here for two reasons. Firstly, of course the accommodation costs are very high and I do not have the budget to afford it. But I still want to discover new cities.

Secondly, I think that hotels and hostels are too similar to each other, whereas houses have something unique to the region.

Therefore, I am not only looking for free accommodation. If the host is available, we can walk around together, we may dialogue, so that I can get to know new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like independent movies and author directors. Some examples: Lars von Trier, Michael Haneke, Theodoros Angelopoulos, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Ken Loach. Godard.

I like philosophy books and classic literature. Some examples for literature: Dostoyevski, Kafka, William Faulkner. Gustave Flaubert, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortazar. Umberto Eco

And I like all philosophy books :) only except for scholastic medieval philosophers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have chose philosophy in Turkey with my desire. (Philosophy is very worthless for Turkish goverment and public. ) Almost every philosophy graduates is unemployed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can practise English or French. The same is of course true for Turkish if there is a particular wish to do so.
