About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To share what we are lucky to have with those who are seeking as much out of life as we are.

ABOUT ME

Yes, admittedly may be older than your average couch surfer but believe me we are definatley young at heart. We have four children between us, all travelling. They are spread around the world. We miss them ofcourse but know that they are on their own adventures both in their career life and personal lives. I now seem to spoil Ralph (that's the hairy four legged child) even more, if thats possible.

PHILOSOPHY

My son once quoted a quote "If you are not standing on the edge you are taking up too much room" and I guess thats how we feel sometimes, life is here to be enjoyed and to have those around us enjoy their lives too when we are in contact with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We love having our couch surfers..friendly and considerate. Ralph, (our dog) loves them too....its been a delight to welcome those travelling and to give them a little of the home comforts they miss...enjoying the experience.

Interests

We currently have a project in Kenya. http://www.kenya.net.au so travel for us is one of our major interests any time you too want to volunteer let me know but when we are not working in Kenya we like to spend time on our boat over at Rottnest an island just of our West Australian coast, where we fish, eat and drink and then find time to read and sleep...and enjoy fantastic sunsets, glorious days and clear beautiful water.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies, both art house and commercial, read fact, fiction and history...though wish we had more time. Music is a must whenever we are just around home or entertaining...love our animals, Ralph the dog (small and loving) and Stanley the cat...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The sunsets over Rottnest are amazingly beautiful, the view from a little window in a shower in Orepasa in Spain fantastic, the food of Italy incredible, the wag of my dogs tail when we come home from our travels, beautiful.Volunteering for 3 months in Nakuru, Kenya, simply amazing. The opportunity to travel and enjoy places and people, grateful and the remarkable times spent with so many people around the world, fullfilling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love share photographs, funny moments, interesting places. Share family thoughts as sometimes its not easy when your children have left home. I also enjoy the english language and very willing to assist in helping others.

Countries I’ve Visited
