I am the eldest of three children with a background in technical education. I have worked for 10 years in electronic and travel businesses until around 7 years ago I decided to create my own business. My business started based on butterfly breeding and exporting from Costa Rica and as my business grew I expanded it to creating real-butterfly wing jewlery. I am continually interested in new business ideas which has led me to take courses on silver jewlery making and painting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After having the chance to travel far from home and to experience how hard it can be to settle into a new place with new systems and languages, I was so impressed to learn about couchsurfing - a community that can help people feel at home while away from home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy latin music (Salsa, Meregue, Bachata, Bolero...) but I also listen to pop, hip-hop and other music! I enjoy many movies from action to science fiction and I especially enjoy movies based on real-life stories. And, I like reading biology and art books as two of my passions are butterfly breeding and painting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am passionate about dancing and my partner and I would love to teach you how to dance latin dances like salsa, merengue, bachata, cha cha or bolero.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My partner and I can share a cozy apartment with a great view of Costa Rica as well as bikes to explore. We also have an extra towel, pillow, and blanket for you to use. And, we are happy to share great Costa Rican coffee and meals like gallo pinto or caldo de frijol!
