About Me

I'm a 26 year old brazilian who currently lives in Porto Alegre, Brasil. I've abroad part of my life (USA and UK), but most of my days were spent in Brazil. I am a professional musician (have released 2 albuns and I'm currently working on the third) and also an engineering student. I study materials recycling which puts my area somewhere between environmental and materials engineering. I'm really into sports, I've played water polo for the past 12 years but also like to play tenis, soccer, ultimate frisbee and pretty much anything you invite me to play.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started in 2012, used it for a while and then stopped. My account was paused and now I'm back. In the old days I used because I was living in Europe and - as you may know - people in Europe travel a lot. So CS was a way to meet people coming to the UK and to meet people when I was backpacking myself.
Now, I've recreated my account because I'm moving accross country to Sydney. We will be living in aussie for the next few years and so I figured CS would be great to meet new friends and to start off with the right foot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty echletic when it comes to music styles. I particularly like pop, pop rock and rock since its mostly what I play. But I do enjoy listening to different styles and getting to know different songs from I'm used to.
International artits I'd cite are John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum and Marron 5.
Moving on to movies I enjoy comedies and adventure movies. A thriller once in a while, but definitely not horror films.
Books - let me write a name of a few books down to ilustrate my interest.
Laughable Loves - Milan Kundera
Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives - Leonard Mlodinow
Inferno - Dan Brown

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travaled to the USA with a scholarship to do part of mt bacholor degree. I travaled in a group of 9 people who have never met before and we become lifelong friends. That's what I love the most about traveling. You can make friends at home, sure, but when you're away you create bonds so strong they're almost family bonds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you out with math, chemistry and physiscs, but I'm sure you'd be more interesetd in listening to me play and sing some of my own material. And if you happen to don't like my compositions, I can always tag along some covers that you like ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life stories, my interesets, my music, my laughter and my cooking. Hopefully you'll enjoy all of it :)
