movies: anything that moves me, either intellectually or emotionally. kurosawa is my favorite director. i loved bottle rocket. i like the idea of porn, but the production is such shit. someone needs to make some good porn.

books: i thought the marquis de sade was interesting, and as a philosopher his logic is irrefutable, but he's not to my taste. the critical pedagogy reader. paulo friere. the story of o. the master and margarita. shakespeare. dostoyevski (of course), and tolstoy. kundera. gloria naylor. annie dillard. sartre, although nausea screwed with my head in a bad way. walker percy. gertrude stein. saul bellow. eugene o'neill's plays.
