About Me

Hey couch-surfers,

I'm currently living in the heart of Fitzroy, Melbourne - roughly a 15 minute walk north from the heart of the CBD.

If you know the area, I'm sure it doesn't need much of an introduction. If you don't - it's pretty much in the thick of it in terms of night life and culture. I'm always keen to meet new people - I haven't hosted yet through my own profile but my ex-housemate in Sydney used to host weekly so that's where I have drawn my inspiration from.

People say I'm pretty extroverted and spontaneous. I love a laugh and good quality chat. I'm keen for just about anything, whether that be drinks and dinner around my area or in the city, something adventurous to show off Melbourne, or just chilling at home with a bottle of wine.

I'm pretty handy around the kitchen and one of my favourite things about co-hosting surfers was the willingness to cook and share favourite dishes. My housemate and I are always open to new recipes and love learning about foreign food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I've noted above, I was inspired by my ex-housemate to host my own surfers. We met a lot of really cool people, shared a lot of fun times and forged long-lasting friendships. I also have many more travel plans for myself and I figure if I can build up a bit of a reputation on here, it will be easy enough for me to be hosted when I'm overseas - but I guess that's why most people are on here!

I want to learn more about the world; language, religion, art, music, food... the list goes on. What better way to do that then to spend quality time and offer my help to travellers when they're in my country. I'd hope I can teach you guys a few things as well :)

Absolutely no discrimination on here in regards to your gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or philosophy! Anyone is welcome and if you're a decent person and we get along then hopefully this could be the beginning of a long-term friendship.

Interests

Where do I start?! Obviously, travel.

I'm pretty outdoorsy: camping, road trips, swimming, snowboarding, hiking, sports.

Besides all that, I'm really social, I'm a musician so I love all kinds of music, I enjoy a decent book or a movie, I'm passionate about a few different sports and I like being around people in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a motorbike with my brother from Hanoi to Saigon, Vietnam (having never ridden one before)...

There are plenty of stories from this trip and other amazing things too, but they're all much better in person.
