About Me

Life is way better when it's not taken as seriously!

I love to meet new people and new experiences - there's so much of the world to see so I want to try and do just that.

I am an ESL teacher and journalist.

I am vegan and a huge animal lover too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel couchsurfing allows you to get a much more honest feel of a place, and allows you to meet so many people from all walks of life. It also gives you the chance to give back to the world that has been so generous.

You can be in touch with people you may never get the chance to meet otherwise!

Interests

I love music, I've played guitar for since I was 11. I am also very interested in science, politics, philosophy, the environment and art.

I love to cook; learning new recipes and trying new foods is one of my favourite things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I consider myself to have a pretty varied music taste - lately I have enjoyed a lot of new psych, garage and punk music, but love everything from hip hop to electronic to jazz and classical.

I love cinema, there are too many incredible movies to list! I usually like introspective documentaries by the likes of Werner Herzog and Adam Curtis - Samsara & Baraka are two of my favourite movies.

And books I have enjoyed recently are Sapiens & Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari, Other Minds by Peter Godfrey-Smith, Food of the Gods by Terence Mckenna.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In New Zealand I did the Nevis Bungy jump into Nevis Gorge - it was easily one of the scariest moments of my life but it was so worth it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and show people new recipes; and also love to be taught new recipes too!

I also hope I can share a sense of adventure and excitement!
