About Me

CURRENT MISSION

the present

ABOUT ME

I like dirt and rocks, trees and mountains, ice and snow, wind and rain, sunup and sundown, rivers and lakes, seas and islands, imaginary places and real ones, dark caves and big sky. And going really fast.

My work is mostly documentary and contract films. I spend summers working on a master's degree in nonfiction writing at the Sewanee School of Letters. These days, I'm mostly traveling to or from a story.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a great planet. To wish for anything else is the worst kind of blasphemy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thousands of wide albatrosses circling a lone Pyramid of rock in the South Pacific. Like pterodactyls. Like the Jurassic was yesterday.
