About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Survive long enough for moving out to Canada, my final resting place.
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty straight forward person. I like to meet new people and have been accused of beeing a social person. There are major restrictions though, as I'm not quite relaxed when it comes to a sudden need of speaking english, but if you can overcome this little weakness of mine, you'll notice that after I five minute freezing I might start speaking things that make sense :)
My greatest hobby for all my life has been living with computers. And I don't mean that I'm just another common computer programmer, I mean that I'm an early adopter of new technologies and shit. Yes I do program, though, but I don't think that developing software or other stuff that way is the thing for me anymore. I've turned my ambition for knowing what's going on in the industries, mainly in the art an little curiosities that happen all the time. Also I have began studying human computer interaction, which is a good compromise between hard technical engineering and my social side and curiosity for sciences.
For three years I have lived with several people and good friends of mine in a little commune near the city centre of one of the biggest city in Finland and found away from many anti-social habits of mine. I guess life is a lot easier somehow, although my stress level has gone way up since my childhood ;) With that said, I'm quite easy person and chilled out most of the time, but when the day comes I might seem quite agitated. Don't ever hesitate to ask help from me though, I'm always glad to help anybody who is in a need of guidance :)
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in altruism. When our society developes and more and more job is pushed for computers and robots, I think that working translates from a de facto nessecity to a hobby. I believe that what ever we are doing, we should do that for the sake of the subject itself, not because some other reason (like money) motivates us.
Listen to what people have to say, you can always create your own opininion without any prejudice. Having friendliness and understanding toward complete strangers is the key for achieving peace in our common world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm actually specialized in user interfaces and web technologies, so I'm looking forward of attending some of the coding nights in the future. Now isn't just the time for that though, beeing in the middle of my studies and all.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't used the service in my travellings a lot so far, though we have had several surfers in our place for a couple of years now. Looking forward for putting the service for good use though, as I'm going to travel a lot in the near future :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Contributing my very first festival (konemetsä) two years back. It was a truly eye opening experience: I had always thought festivals beeing happenings where people just get drunk and shit, but it was the warmest and friendliest place that I've probably ever been :) Other life changing experience was my very first demoparty (and shortly after that, my very first REAL demoparty, Lobotomia 2002 ;) Assembly in year 2001. I guess that it really changed my life to better that day, as I got my first concrete social experience with my most important hobby, demoscene. Computer arts have been a very integral part of me since then.
Teach, Learn, Share
Computer sciences, esoteric programming for old platforms. Electronic music and mixing. Some knowledge about networks and their structures. I guess these are the things that I'm best at :)
