Hi! My name is Paige Esguerra and I'm a student at NC State University. I am studying Textile and Chemical Engineering. I really love to travel and get to know other cultures. I lived in Mexico for 2 years and I loved the culture and food and it has really given me the inspiration to travel the world. I really love food and I am very adventurous with it! I also love animals and meeting new people. I am excited about traveling and experiencing things out of my comfort zone!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing to meet new people and to really get to know the cultures of people that I'm staying with. I am also planning on traveling Europe on a budget so I can continue to pay for my education afterwards. I like to meet people with interesting experiences and I'd love someone to share mine with as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie music is my favorite but I appreciate all music besides country music. I am not a huge movie fanatic but I'd say light comedies are my favorite. My favorite books are the Harry Potters by a long shot!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Mexico and left everything I knew behind in the US when I was in 8th grade. I overcame the culture shock and embraced my new surroundings!

I can share about my culture because I have a diverse American/Colombian culture that is always fun. I would also love to learn a few sayings in the native language of my destination. I would love to learn about the food and lifestyle as well. I am traveling so that I can learn so if you've got something to teach I'd love to hear it.
